Tip Fairing and Counterweight

The epoxy-flox mixture applied over the weekend was sanded down. In all abut a few places, the tips looked great. Despite my best efforts, there were still a few low spots, and a few areas that chipped out when removing the tips.

In addition to the tips, I remedied the counterweight issue I created weeks ago when I cut off too much of the counterweight. Previously, I had molded the off cuts and scraps of led into a shape that fit well in the balance tab. A tooling hole was used to secure the lead, and appropriate hardware was ordered from Van’s.

The led was attached with the hardware as well as some RTV to ensure it was secure. Once torqued down, all pieces were toque sealed and will remain in place.
