Seat Floors

Seat floors were fabricated, including the seat back mounts (three hinge pieces riveted to bottom of seat). Fairly uneventful, and came out looking great.

I also test fit the finished flap covers, which settle in place nicely. (One mounting hole required a small amount of filing.

While adding the seat bottoms, I thought it would be good to add in the control columns, or at least the linkage below the seat. This would allow me to place the two sections of ribs that are cut out, which helped keep the ribs straight. Not sure if I’ll later regret spending the time to do this… it took over 2 hours to get everything out and refit, and there’s a chance I’ll have to undo it all again later…

Last post of the year. I’ve made a lot of progress on this thing this year. It’s looking good, and I find myself just wondering what it’s going to look like in another year.
