Getting the roll bar correct is pivotal to getting the alignment of windscreen to canopy and the gap therein. My roll bar was exactly perpendicular to the longeron, but I wound up having to shim one end and grind level some of the weldment to better suit the alignment of the actual canopy pieces.

With this set, and canopy spacing measured carefully, I reattached the roll bar–this time permanently.

This also meant buying and reinstalling a new roll bar support brace. This should not have been cut at the guidance of Van’s, but rather waited on until the fit of all these pieces was certain.
