Yesterday and today were filled with sanding off the fairing compound (not what it’s called) and then mixing up another batch and layering more on. I think I’ve hit most of hit most of the low spots, and should be able to sand it all back down (once hardened) and get a good idea of how they look.

Next steps will be filling primer and sanding that, then final primer. I don’t think I’ll rivet these pieces on, but maybe. Seems like they’d damage easily when working on the plane, and moving the plane.

Also, I think next week I’ll start building the “jig” and cradle needed for the wings. Might as well have those done and waiting for the parts!
