The roll bar was an apt introduction into the canopy, from what I hear. Mine was very close to plan, avoiding the big adjustments required by many. Still, this piece won’t bend. I needed about 1/8″ of twist which I achieved at the cost of risk of great personal injury, and 1/8″ of “squeeze” which I was not able to achieve at all.
At one point, I had two straps pulling the roll bar inward by about 5″-6″ with presumably upwards of a thousand pounds of force making Van’s suggestion of applying body weight to the bar to achieve these movements laughable.
Ultimately, I opted to bolt in this 1/8″ of squeeze, as doing so only required bolting the piece with a modicum of outward tension.

I would highly suggest not cutting the roll bar support to length at this time, as you may later have to adjust the angle of the roll bar to mate with the slider frame. I’ve seen many folks fall to this trap in the instructions. I nearly did, but have opted to be OK accepting a little bit of a gap up top that will be covered by the canopy.
