Finishing the Avionics

Getting the avionics in place has been something I’ve been working on behind the scenes. I had the stock van panel water jet cut and powder coated–this after making some file adjustments based on the trial panels I’ve created to date. Dry transfers were created through Color Vu. The glare shield was primed and painted black.

I can’t understate the amount of planning and work that has gone into this, so to see it come to life has been an incredible milestone in this build.

Don’t forget that installing the glare shield is also installing the front skin, so timing on this pieces is critical. Part of the delay in finalizing the panel wasn’t the panel construction, but instead ensuring I’ve completed as much work under this skin as I can.

What a boost to motivation to see all of this on and operating. I’m so incredibly excited to one day fly behind this panel.
