Oil Door Woes

It seems I’ve misplaced my cut for the oil door, pushing it too far inboard. At the same time, I don’t see how I could have aligned it more outboard.

Because of the prefabricated dimensions of some parts, the actual door is now misaligned with my cut, and therefore cannot function. I’ll be forced to fabricate a new door, new arm, or both.

This is my fault, as the instructions are relatively clear. However, I’m a looking for someone to blame as it’s all very confusing–between the door instructions, the plenum instructions, and various other reference material, I thought there’d be a callout somewhere…

several pieces out of alignment, including actuator arm (too far in), door cutout (way too far in), and door mounting location on pivot (too far out)
