
I don’t know how much detail I’ll add here, as there will be ample documentation in the videos, but initial fitting of the oil cooler, oil cooler mount, oil cooler plenum, and oil cooler door has begun. Most of this was purchased or provided by ShowPlanes, who were great at talking me through the needs of of my plane–particularly with such a large oil cooler. (Why I went with 13 rows when a simple 10 row would have worked I’m still unsure.)
So far, I’m blown away by the geometry needed to get this oil cooler aligned with the baffle, and how well ShowPlanes did. Fitting the plenum has been slow going as I’m terrified of making a cut too deep.
