Well, it may be a bit premature, but I got a prop. The Whirlwind three-blade constant speed is about as close to a dream prop as I’ll ever get. I definitely went over-budget here, but folks said this would be the biggest performance upgrade I can expect–the most bang for my dollar.

While I’d love to unbox this thing, I think it would be relatively unsmart of me. The off chance I have to ship this thing, or just the fact that it could get damaged–or heck, the fact that it’s harder to store…

Anyway, a few (12-ish) short months and I’ll be hanging this thing on the front anyway.

The spinner is one of the tightest pieces of fabrication I’ve seen. It’s straight up beautiful. I took it upstairs and set it on the cowl–I think it fits the lines just about perfectly.
