
As if the snorkel wasn’t complicated enough, we need to add an alternate air door in case the engine filter gets clogged. The trap door can be open (but not closed) from the cockpit in the case of an emergency air filter/air intake obstruction.
The door is filleted onto the snorkel, and will be faired out and blended in. A control cable, similar to the heater, will be routed to the panel.
