With an engine on the way–or nearly on the way–I’d like to wrap up as many systems in the wings before they head to storage. On the list is autopilot servos, external air temp sensor, pitot and angle of attack with related tubing and wiring, and running extensions for the lights (wing tips).

The autopilot servo mount kits from Garmin provided excellent instructions, and wonderful kit components. A real modern era approach to EAB kits, whereas much of the Van’s approach still feels decades old. (Because it is.)
All the wiring, crimping, pinning, etc. brought me straight back to the panel days. I miss those days.

Installing the pitot was a whole different deal. The mechanical part of it is troublesome, as it needs to be done in unison with the wing skins. I didn’t nail this section, and as a result have a bit of oil canning on a panel of the bottom wing. Not much to do about that now.
